Third Hour G

Q The Moon and the Apollo Missions Assignment: The questions below are based on a number of sources, especially my video presentation. Also, see pages 39-41 (section 2.3) of your text to review the phases of the Moon - look especially at Figure 2.22. The video presentation is on the Helpful Videos for Third hour G page. Hints and Reminders Phase: A two or three word description of the shape of the Moon in the sky; e.g. Full Moon, Waxing Gibbous Moon. Phase age: The number of days since the previous New Moon. As examples, the phase age of a New Moon is 0 days, that of a First Quarter Moon is 7.5 days, and of a Full Moon would be 15 days, while a Third Quarter Moon is 22.5 days. Confuse "Phase" and "Phase age" at your peril...these are different terms! Like Lion and Sea Lion, one word can make a difference! To turn in your answers for grading, hit the "Submit Assignment" Button in the top right and then submit all the work as text or a file upload. Make sure to number each answer.
